This unusual trend originates from the Maison Margiela Haute Couture show. Its author is make-up artist Pat McGrath. At the fashion show, models with hologram lips, bleached eyebrows and untouched eyes appeared on the catwalk. This unusual effect on their lips was achieved with the help of gold and silver graphic lines, red foil and shiny colored plates.

After the show, this unusual trend instantly won the heart of a modern fashionista. In America and Europe, girls experiment with hologram make-up, trying the most incredible shades and posting their photos on social networks.

Lipsticks or lip glosses with a metallic hologram effect can be either shiny or opaque, but they should clearly resemble bronze, gold, silver, platinum and mercury.

To imitate a similar effect on the lips, you can acquire special products that professional brands produce or use gold leaf. However, there is a different way to choose.

First of all, you need to experiment with metallic eyeshadows for the eyelids, which are also relevant this fall, or bronzers. Cream products are the best to cope with such a complex task, but you can use dry ones as well, pre-mixing them with lip balm.

Another great solution is to use powdered pigments. They can be applied on moistened skin and mixed with lip gloss. But it is important to remember that such a make-up will be appropriate only at a party. It is unacceptable to appear in the office with hologram lips.

When choosing such an extravagant make-up, one should remember that “hologram lips” should be the only accent, and it is impossible to combine them with bright eye make-up. This is too much!
