5 Hair Care Mistakes You Make

Is anything wrong with the hair? Is it dull, brittle, split? The reason is you take care of it incorrectly – and you make one (or several) mistakes in hair care at once.

Hair does not grow, unless it is washed well enough in moderately warm water and combed with measure.

Rinse your hair well enough

Stylists advise not to be afraid to rinse your hair twice with shampoo in order to accurately remove all dirt and styling residues (dry shampoo, mousse, hair spray and so on). Try to wash exactly your scalp, since all the “bad stuff” is accumulating there. But it is better not to apply shampoo to the tips – the active substances that are important for cleansing can dry out the weaker tips.

Wash hair under hot water

We have already discussed the topic of hot water when we talked about proper skin care (such temperatures are not suitable for it). The problem is that hot water dries the scalp, which is why peeling appears. Under such conditions, the hair will definitely fail to grow and be healthy. The water temperature should be warm enough (that is, no more than 35 degrees) and, if possible, there should be contrast shower (revitalizing and invigorating the whole body). You can practice it as follows: stand under warm water for 1-2 minutes and then use cold water for 20-30 seconds. Next, switch to warm water for 1-2 minutes again, and so on. You can repeat the cycle up to 5 times.

Improper use of air conditioner

Too much conditioner or balm will make your hair heavier and will cause hair loss. The amount of it should be no bigger than a dime. One more important tip is to squeeze the curls before applying air conditioner (you can do this with a towel), so the conditioner will absorb better, and its active ingredients will work.

Use medicated shampoos more often

We mean shampoos treating dandruff and other diseases. Special deep cleansing shampoos are also used for this purpose. Read the instructions carefully and use them as recommended. Most likely, they will be used 1-2 times a week. If you do this more often, you will dry your scalp and remove natural oils that promote hydration. The point is that the composition contains active ingredients that, if used improperly, will harm rather than help.

Comb wet hair

Many people do this as soon as they leave the bathroom, which is fundamentally wrong. To begin with, gently dry your hair with a towel, and then use only a comb with soft bristles. Thus, you will not damage the curls and will not lose most of them on the way from shower to the room.
