How to Reduce Aging When Sleeping?

In general, the skin renews and rests during sleep, but if you do not help it by following simple rules, you can significantly worsen your life (or appearance). Below we will share a few tips on how to reduce aging to a minimum while sleeping.

Sleep on your back

Everything is logical: when there is no pressure on the skin (and pressure occurs when you lie on your stomach or side), the appearance of wrinkles can be delayed. In addition, sleeping on the stomach constantly keeps the spine in tension, so the correct posture is not just a matter of aesthetics. There is another question: how to sleep on your back since you do not control your rolling in bed at night? Manufacturers of bedding equipment and furniture have come up with the answer: special pillows with a roller and curved mattresses for sleeping on the back.

Multiply hydration by two

We constantly emphasize the importance of moisturizing (including oily skin), and in the evening it should be reinforced rather than just present on your beauty menu. Creams and serums with hyaluronic acid, vitamins B and E will help you. These ingredients are “embedded” in natural regenerative processes and promote skin renewal.

Never forget to remove makeup

A well-known rule is to carry out moisturizing only after a thorough cleansing of the face. If you can fall asleep with makeup on your face, put micellar water and cotton pads or wipes to remove makeup near the bed. It’s not going to be complete cleansing (with a foam or gel), so it is not suitable for every day. But it is still better than no cleaning at all.

Try compressed whey

Compressed whey came from Korea and began to conquer the European market. The idea of this novice product is that it combines the functions of both serum and cream. As a result, we get a cream with potent ingredients and the ability to use one instead of two cans. It is an ideal way out for two categories of citizens: those who are lazy (and we are all lazy) and those who do not want to look for a separate cream and suitable serum.

Choose night care products

If you use the same cream both in the afternoon and in the evening, there will be no great tragedy. But you have to understand that daytime medicines have a lighter consistency (they must be absorbed faster before you go out). Moreover, they provide a certain SPF-factor (you definitely don’t need it at night). Night care products are “heavier” due to their rich composition, which also contributes to skin regeneration. In addition, night creams (as opposed to daytime creams) usually do not have fragrances, apparently for fear of the customers’ restless sleep.

Use products with retinol

Retinol (or vitamin A) is considered to be one of the most powerful remedies of home cosmetics, which is able to tighten skin and relieve acne. Yet you should not use it very often, especially if you go out in the sun: there is a risk of pigmentation or peeling. So, if you have chosen an appropriate product, use it in the evening and no more than 2–3 times a week.
