Beauty Tips for Straight Hair

Straight hair usually lacks volume and a long-lasting sensation of cleanliness. How to get this without extensions and a wig?

Find a comb with natural bristles

You should buy a comb with natural bristles not to damage the structure and prevent static electricity in the hair. It is good to combine the combing process with a light head massage to improve blood circulation and stimulate hair follicles. Also, when combing, you can use sprays to unravel the strands.

An ideal option for thin hair is a straight blunt haircut (or blunt cut, as the stars call it), when the hair is cut on the same level or diagonally. It is especially true for medium length hair.

Add volume

Make a bouffant or a hairstyle with corrugation. You just need to use forceps with a small corrugation nozzle near the hair roots, and cover it all with upper unprocessed strands. When drying your hair with a hairdryer, lower your head down and use a round brush to give the hair more volume.

Use the mask

A mask of lemon juice and egg white is ideal for straight and thin hair. Egg white restores the structure of the hair, just like keratin, and is considered a natural conditioner. If there is time for homemade remedies, separate the egg white from the egg and squeeze half the lemon into a bowl. Mix the mixture until smooth. Apply to wet hair, put on a shower cap and leave the mask for 20 minutes. Rinse it with cool water and then wash your hair in the usual way using shampoo and conditioner. Do not let the mask dry! The cap should fit the head tightly.

Wash your hair as needed

Straight hair becomes untidy very quickly. Due to the peculiarity of the structure, it is close to the scalp and, due to the activity of the sebaceous glands, quickly loses its attractive appearance. Do not be afraid to wash it more often if necessary, there is nothing wrong with that. Dry shampoo or talcum powder can be an alternative to washing (but still it is better not to use them permanently).

In extreme cases, there are false hair strands

A very fashionable trend to attach false tresses under the hair has appeared recently. These additional strands are intended to merge with your native hair. This is a great way to add volume and experiment with your appearance. However, if it is windy, the locks of your false hair may become visible – so be careful!
