During the day, our skin lives in a single tense rhythm with the entire body, humbly experiencing our emotions, endless touches to the face, and transitions from one temperature condition to another. Therefore, the main synonyms for daycare are “hydration and protection”. The night is a completely different matter. Darkness is the time of intense recovery. How you organize this process of skin care before sleep determines your blooming appearance the next morning (and for many years to come).
Rule #1: relaxation and essence
Do whatever pleases you before bed. Many brands, especially those associated with aromatic oils, develop special rituals aimed not only at psycho-emotional relaxation but also at improving the penetrating abilities of the skin.
As a rule, after washing you need to warm up a few drops of aroma oil or aroma essence between your palms and take a few deep breaths. To enhance the effect, you can lightly steam the skin, using a compress with warm towels.
For those who are allergic to essential oils, a pure compress with no additives can be recommended. This ritual will super efficiently prepare the skin for the application of the cream and/or serum.
Rule #2: night cream
Despite the fact that the boundaries between the concepts of “day” and “night” have been blurred more and more lately and that universal creams have already occupied a certain niche in cosmetology, we can still afford a little more at night than during the day.
This also applies to the concentration of active regenerating anti-aging components, and the density of textures. Feel free to choose more saturated creams and read carefully what effect they have. The most valuable qualities include cell regeneration, the fight against free radicals, and an increase in skin immunity.
Do not forget that you need to apply the night cream with massage movements an hour before bed, otherwise all the most useful properties will be enjoyed by the pillow.
Rule #3: oil
Oil is one of the most popular cosmetic textures today. Any oils are available these days: for the hair, for the face, for the body, for the bath. Such an assortment is quite reasonable. Firstly, oils guarantee very comfortable sensations, and secondly, the soothing, softening and nourishing properties of oils are practically unrivaled.
In skin care, they can be used both independently and by adding a couple of drops to your favorite cream. This works especially well when the skin is severely dehydrated, after flights or stress.
To achieve the fullest effect, oil can be applied overnight and on hair (as a mask). In the morning, you will be pleased with the result. When you wash and style your hair, it will literally shine and glow with health. However, in this case, you will have to take care of the pillow in advance.
Rule #4: Hands and feet care
Even if during the day you forget about hand cream, despite the fact that it lies in plain sight in a desktop drawer or in the glove compartment of a car, it is strictly necessary to apply it in the evening. There is also a trick that will make your hand care very effective. Once your face, body, and hair have received some of your attention, you can move on to the last part of your bedtime preparation.
Take nail oil and rub it not only into the cuticle but also into the nail plate. Wait 1-2 minutes and apply a greasy layer of hand cream to your hands. Wait a couple more minutes and put on cotton gloves for better absorption. Perfectionists can do the same thing with their feet.
